Loops by Artsee1 Loops by Artsee1
I necklace that I made a while back. Each loop and wire line was hand formed, soldered closed and attached to it's neighboring pieces. As a final touch I sand-blasted the piece, which gives it a little sparkle (in my opinion). A one-of-a-kind design ;)

After the excellent feedback from this necklace I decided to create an addition, "Don't Pull My Chain" inspired by my poem, "A Desired Beauty of the Night"

Oh gosh... it's been a while. If I had to guess I'd say it was a 12. It is sturdy for sure :D

Yes and strong tools! My pliers balk at 17 gauge wire much less 12. They'd likely break. Of course I use small jewelers pliers for most of my projects. For the tougher wire/chain maille I have some automotive pliers. :D They work but they aren't spring loaded like the handles on my jewelry pliers.

:giggle: pliers would be a little difficult since the wire is thick. I use a doll rod and a raw hide mallet, and my hands (which aren't pretty but hella strong).

Appreciate your comments and insight. It's always nice when I can talk to a fellow artist :)

This is a really nice piece. I thought that it looked strangely familiar, and then I saw your signature, and realized that I had seen it before.

Thanks for remembering :) I accidentally deleted my account while merging all the accounts into one. Man, I was so bummed, but it is what it is and at least I can still be a member of DA. Soooo inspiring.

I never really thought about it, I don't usually sell my metal pieces because I don't make a lot of them. $400.00? It's real silver, and somewhat time consuming to balance and solder all the loops.

i cant really afford any special thing lately, and this for a while i presume. I need selling more myself to be able to buy art i like... one day! cheers
400 $ looks quite okay, i dont really know about these stuffs either, i know my prices of painting are low, this i know (even if it could appear expensive for those who dont know wht was involved in a work)
