Bird in Flight 8.26.10

This summer I learned how to do cloisonne and loved it! So, in true fashion, I became obsessed and went out and bought all the supplies so I could add another hobby to my list. This is the first piece that I did without assistance. I used a barn swallow from the Field Museum, in Chicago, IL, as a resource. After cutting the shape out of copper I used silver wire and transparent enamels to decorate the top. The necklace is made from wire that I coiled and then maneuvered onto malleable pieces of base wire. The two glass beads are made by me to match the design and colors.
